MICHAEL KORS 40.YILDÖNÜMÜNÜ KUTLADI

Bir yıldan uzun bir müddettir tiyatrolar kapalı… Geçtiğimiz günlerde tahminen de pandemi boyunca birinci kez Broadway ışıkları yine yandı! Tiyatro Bölgesinde, Shubert ve Music Box Tiyatrolarındaki hareketlenmenin sebebi ise Michael Kors’un 40. Yılını kutlayan defilesiydi. New York’un moda ve performans sanatları bölümlerine yine hayat katan Kors, kentte bir kutlama havası yarattı. Hem bir New York aşığı hem de müzikal tutkunu olan Kors, Sonbahar 2021 koleksiyonunu Bella Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Shalom Harlow, Helena Christensen, Liya Kebede, Karen Elson, Paloma Elsesser, Precious Lee ve Alex Wek üzere çeşitli üstün model takımı ile sundu.



Sabah saatlerinde Times Square’de canlı yayın ile izleyenleri karşılayan Michael Kors, tiyatro öncesi gitmeyi en çok sevdiği ve sinema yıldızlarının karikatürlerinin olduğu Sardi’s restoranından evvelce çekilmiş bir klip paylaştı. Zoom’un galeri imgesi ile Bette Midler, Chita Rivera, Bernadette Peters, Kristen Chenowith ve Billy Porter üzere Broadway’in en ünlü yıldızlarının yer aldığı görüntüde, Kors’un değerli yıldönümü kutlandı. Birebir vakitte seyircilerden pandemi boyunca dans, tiyatro, opera, müzik, sinema, televizyon ve radyo üzere mecralarda çalışan 40 bin bireye yardım eden ‘The Actors Fund’ (Oyuncular Fonu) için bağış isteyen oyuncular, Kors’un yıldönümüne farklı bir kıymet kattılar.

Sardi’s restoranındaki görüntüden sonra Shalom Harlow, West 45th Street’te kurulan podyumda Kors’un ikonik tarzları ile defilenin açılışını yaptı. Grup elbiselerin, yün paltoların, lüks trikoların, deri trençkotların ve payetli tuvaletlerin görüldüğü koleksiyonda, griler ve siyahların ortasından canlı kırmızılar, metalikler ve zebra desenleri öne çıktı.









Shubert Tiyatrosu’na hakikat yürüyen modeller, toplumsal araya dikkat ederek Grammy Mükafatı adayı olan Rufus Wainwright’ın performansını izlediler. New York’u anlatan “City Lights,” “New York State of Mind,” ve “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” üzere müzikleri söyleyen Wainwright, hem modelleri hem de izleyicileri büyüledi. Wainwright’ın performansının akabinde sahneye çıkan Michael Kors, Sonbahar 2021 defilesi ile çok net bir bildiri verdi: GÖSTERİ DEVAM ETMELİ!
